The Applicant, Nkwe Solar PV (Pty) Ltd, is proposing the construction of a solar photovoltaic (PV) facility (Nkwe 2 Solar PV) located on the Remaining Extent (RE) of Farm Little Saxony No. 39, Portion 1 and Portion 2 Farm Little Saxony 39, approximately 5km south of the town of Winburg in the Free State Province.
The solar PV facility will comprise several arrays of PV panels and associated infrastructure and will have a contracted capacity of up to 180 MW. The development area is situated within the Masilonyana Local Municipality area and greater Lejweleputswa District Municipality within the Free State province
