The project will be located on a site within the Merafong Local Municipality, which lies within the jurisdiction of the West Rand District Municipality. The project site is located ~14km east of the town of Carletonville along the R501 and 14km south-west of the town of Westonaria along the N12 in the Gauteng Province.
