    Provenance

    Irma Stern Trust Collection. In terms of her Will Irma Stern bequeathed her entire collection to the Trustees of the Irma Stern Trust. The Trustees were instructed to make a core selection from her artworks and personal collection and to arrange for this collection to be housed and displayed. After her death in 1966 the first trustee, Professor J du P Scholtz, selected the Irma Stern Trust Collection which is housed in the Irma Stern Museum.
