Proposal Description
The project aims to transfer sewage from the Mokopane Wastewater Treatment Works (WWTW) sewer system area to the Masodi WWTW outfall sewer system.
The proposed concrete sewage line will have to total length of approx. 3,8km with an internal diameter of 300mm (0,30 metres). The design allows for a maximum pipeline capacity of 4.5 megalitres per day (Mℓ/day) / 52 litres per second. However, inflow will be regulated to ensure that only 3 Mℓ/day / 34,7litres per second passes through.
The majority of the pipeline will be within an area that can be classified as urban (Mokopane and Sekgakgapeng areas) and is also located within existing road reserves / adjacent to streets.
Province(s): Limpopo
