    Proposal Description
Limited repairs of termite damage to the timber roof was undertaken in the early 2006/2007 renovations. However, an inspection of the timber roof structure subsequently to a second burglary through the roof covering, uncovered substantial termite infestation during the years 2007 to 2025 to the existing roof timbers to such an extent that some trusses are no longer structurally sound - king posts, struts, braces and rafter members are eaten through - see accompanying report prepared for the Clients. It is proposed to incorporate 18mm timber boarding with malthoid waterproofing over new timber roof trusses whilst reusing the existing Marseille roof tiles. This will also make it harder for illegal access into the building through the roof whilst also giving a best practice waterproofing to a tiled roof.
