August 1842 below the title: This Vessel was blown on shore at 10 o'Clock A.M. and in about two hours 189 souls perished out of 300. The Officers all saved. Lieut. Hext who commanded the Guard was on shore at the time. From a sketch by Capt. Hext, 4th the Kings own regiment
