Hamlett Wind Farm

The development of an up to 333MW wind energy facility, which includes wind turbines, a collector substation, 132kV power line, access roads (gravel in nature), temporary laydown areas, Operation and Maintenance Buildings. Location: The project site is located between Somerset East and Makhanda approximately 45km south-east of Somerset East,within the Blue Crane Route Local Municipality and the Sarah Baartman District Municipality in the Eastern Cape Province. The site falls within Focus Area 3 of the Renewable Energy Development Zones (REDZ), which is known as the Cookhouse
