Apply Alterations/Redecorate the finishes to floors, walls, roof and ceilings to the Durban City Hall Auditorium Building Hall, walkway and offices

The municipality has embarked on a maintenance and upgrading program for the city hall complex buildings to attain compliance with modern safety and universal access regulations.
The program includes security upgrades and planned maintenance. To this end Amafa applications have been made that describe the work planned for the auditorium and adjoining office wings, where significant renovation works are required. The auditorium has suffered damage to the ceilings and flooring and has been closed for public use since 2017. It is a priority for the municipality to make the buildings safe for use so that the members of the metro and public can make full use of the facilities.

The eThekwini Architecture Department has been requested by Governance (City Hall Management) for the following work:
• Alterations/Redecorate the finishes to Ancillary floors, walls, roof and ceilings to the Durban City Hall
• Auditorium Building Hall, walkway and offices.
