Proposal Description
The street facing façade and the other three facades of the existing building were restored and retained. Because they made no change to the existing facades, the client was not aware that they needed to make a submission to the relevant Heritage authority.
Having realized that that assumption was incorrect, the client has instructed us to make this submission on their behalf.
We must point out that the client took great pains not to change the exterior facades of the building and has helped to restore the exterior as faithfully to the original building as possible.
Before work commenced, the building was not in a good state and was in danger of falling into disrepair. The interventions made by the owner have prolonged the lifespan of the building and helped to maintain the historic nature of the surrounding area.
