Mpilo Game Lodge on Portion 90 of the Farm Magut No. 818 near Pongola

The proposed establishment of a private game lodge (Mpilo Game Lodge) on an approximately 12ha portion of the property Portion 90 of the Farm Magut No. 818 within the existing Mpilo Game Reserve, located near Pongola, in the uPhongolo Local and Zululand District Municipality of KwaZulu-Natal. There is an existing bush lodge (Aberfeldy Lodge) located on the proposed development site which currently sleeps 24 guests and staff members. The Applicant has proposed the upgrading and expansion of the existing lodge to a 225-guest facility with accommodation for 40 staff.
