Sowers of the Word Church

By virtue of the powers vested in Heritage Western Cape (HWC), as the provincial heritage resources authority for the province of the Western Cape and in accordance with a resolution of the HWC Council dated 31 May 2024; HWC hereby formally exempts the geographical area called the Flamingo Exemption Area, Cape Town, and as more fully described in the schedule below, from the requirements of Section 34(1) and (2) of the National Heritage Resources Act 1999, Act no. 25 of 1999 (‘‘the NHRA’’).

PLACEMENT ON HERITAGE REGISTER IN TERMS OF SECTION 30(2) OF THE NATIONAL HERITAGE RESOURCES ACT (ACT 25 OF 1999) (‘‘THE NHRA’’) 

The following individual heritage resources which have been identified within the Flamingo Exempted Area are to be placed on the Heritage Register in terms of Section 30(2) of the NHRA as grade III heritage resources.

b. New Apostolic Church (Erf 60042)
c. Seventh Day Adventist Church (Erf 60466)
d. Methodist Church Lansdowne (Erf 63100)
e. Sowers of the Word Church (Erf 168457)
