Rezoning of Erf 828 Park Town

Application for amendment of the City of Johannesburg Land Use Scheme, 2018 by rezoning of Erf 828, Park Town in terms of Section 21(1) of the Johannesburg Municipal Planning By-law, 2016 (Amended 2024) from Residential 3 for a maximum of 5 dwelling-units and subject to development control parameters set out in Amendment Scheme 4054, to Educational (Use Zone 17) for place of instruction subject to a Map and Annexures. Purpose of the application is to create the requisite land-use rights to allow for the development and operation of an extension of the existing private college IMM Graduate School for Marketing and Management currently operational on Erf 640, Park Town, on Erf 828, Park Town and may include all or some of the following elements of same:
• Meeting / conference rooms;
• Staff and administrative offices;
• Student welcoming information centre;
• Telematic / digital teaching spaces;
• Library / resources centre;
• Uses subservient and ancillary to a place of instruction / tertiary education facility, etc.
The proposal entails obtaining the rights to utilise the existing buildings and land with minor alterations and additions to the structures and / or the erection of additional structures to accommodate the land-uses.
