Gwalala Hill archaeological investigation

Proposed archaeological excavation of Gwalala Hill (PS27), a large undisturbed K2-period settlement at the confluence of the Limpopo and Luvuvhu Rivers in the Makuleke Contractual Park, northern Kruger National Park, Limpopo Province. The project will involve controlled excavation, artefact analysis, and heritage assessment to investigate early trade and settlement systems. Excavations will be carried out by Tim Forssman and Chanté Barnard.
