The proposal is for the development of eight light industrial stands and a central access road of the D234, on a Portion of Camperdown 1330 FT. The site occurs ~2km southwest of Camperdown, KZN.
The change in land use from agriculture to light industrial requires environmental authorization following a Basic Assessment process as the following listed activities are triggered:
• Transformation of more than 1ha agricultural land to residential, mixed, retail, commercial, industrial or institutional developments;
• Clearing more than 1ha indigenous vegetation;
• Stormwater infrastructure more than 1000m in length and pipe diameter more than 0,36m; and
• Roads wider than 8m.
