Proposed Truck Stop Development on Portion 67 (A Portion of Portion 17) of the Farm Rietfontein 314 JS

It is the intention of the applicant to develop a truck stop comprising of two individual truck stops, each equipped with ablution facilities, store rooms, laundry, cleaning store, kitchen, pantry, canteen with a dining area, a truck wash and a tools and spare store. The two proposed truck stops will be a mirror image of each other and will each have a surface area of approximately 1033m2 in order to accommodate a large number of people simultaneously. A workshop for minor truck repairs (approximately 2077m2), guard house and 306 heavy vehicle parking bays will also be provided for on the proposed site and as part of the development. Additionally, a 15-meter-wide servitude will be registered over Portion 2 of the Farm Rietfontein 314 JS for a safe and efficient access point to the proposed truck stop. The proposed site footprint will be approximately 19, 8 hectares.
