PHASE 1 ARCHAEOLOGICAL AND HERITAGE IMPACT ASSESSMENT REPORT FOR THE PROPOSED FORMALIZATION OF KARINO INFORMAL SETTLEMENT AND TOWNSHIP ESTABLISHMENT DEVELOPMENT IN KARINO ERF 6,7,9,10,11,12,13,14 AND 15 WITHIN THE CITY OF MBOMBELA MUNICIPALITY IN MPUMALAN

The proposed project is identified within Karino area which falls under the City of Mbombela, Mpumalanga Province. The site is situated on the nothern side of the N4 from Lebombo Border control to the City of Mbombela and eastern side of the City of Mbombela. It is also situated on the west and eastern side along road R538 from the N4 to the Kruger International Air Port GPS (S25°27'00.44" E31°05'43.79").
The City of Mbombela is located in the eastern part of the Ehlanzeni District Municipality of the Mpumalanga Province. The municipality is strategically placed between Swaziland (North of Swaziland) and Mozambique (west of Mozambique).
