Site History

The Barberton Makhonjwa Mountains contain world-famous, extremely old but well preserved rocks which record information about the early Earth history. Parts of it were declared a World Heritgae Site in 2018. >200 registered national sites, nearly all contributed and registered by South African and international geoscientists.
