REFERRAL LETTER
The permit application in respect of the above, received and reviewed on 21 May 2025 by the KwaZulu-Natal Amafa and Research Institute (The Institute) refers.
Please be advised as follows:
- The inspection report prepared by Ros Devereux (RD) was discussed and it was decided to forego the requirement for a further impact statement.
- The HOC debated the grading of the new building and RD was concerned that an NCW grading would allow further alterations that would impact the listed buildings in the street.
- It was further noted that the metal sheeting covering the upper floor was not shown on the drawings.
The application was therefore referred for further requirements.
FURTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Revised drawings to show the corrugated sheet metal cladding on the upper floor were required.
