New Berths 709 and 710 at the Port of Richards Bay: uMhlathuze Local Municipality and King Cetshwayo District Municipality, KwaZulu-Natal Province

TNPA is planning to construct two new berths, 709 and 710, at the Port of Richards Bay (PoRB), As the existing berths are nearing full capacity the proposed Project aims to increase the Port’s capacity, relieve port congestion and facilitate access to new industry players for the export of dry bulk commodities. The PoRB is located on South Africa's eastern seaboard, approximately 160 km north-east of Durban and 465 km south of Maputo, Mozambique. It falls within the uMhlathuze Local Municipality and King Cetshwayo District Municipality in KwaZulu Natal.
