The SAHRA Development Applications Unit (DAU) is making the following comments in terms of section 38(8) of the National Heritage Resources Act as contemplated by the EIA process in terms of section 24(4)b(ii) of NEMA:

• The SAHRA DAU acknowledges recipet of the HIA and PIA Letter of Exemption. The HIA in however not compliant with section 38(3)e of the NHRA.
• The SAHRA DAU is therefore requesting public participation to be undertaken pursuant to section 38(3)e of the NHRA, integrate the results and submit proof of such consultations.
• The SAHRA DAU will issue further comments upon receipt of an HIA
