Mthatha Quarry - Expansion of a mining right area located in the Magisterial Division of Libode ion the Eastern Cape

Mthatha Quarry is an exiting opencast quarry (since 1971) where dolerite is mined and processed for aggregate. The operation currently has limited reserves remaining (less than 2 years) and therefore proposes to expand the mining right area to include additional resource and extend the life of mine. It is important to note that the infrastructure, equipment and work force will not change from the present. The application is only to extend the life of mine.
