Buffelsdoorn Prospecting Right Project

Bacarac Trading 104 (Pty) Ltd (Bacarac) submitted an online Prospecting Right and Environmental Authorisation Application to the North West Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources on 11 October 2024. The online application was successful, and the project was allocated the reference number NW 30/5/1/1/2/14697 PR. Acceptance of the Prospecting Right application was received on 5 March 2025. If the application is granted, Bacarac will be enabled to ascertain if economically viable mineral deposits exist within the project area. The minerals of interest include:

2. Copper
3. Gold Silver
4. Platinum Group Metals
5. Rare Earths
6. Sand (General)
7. Silver Ore
8. Sulphur (in pyrite)
9. Uranium

The proposed project will aim to explore and quantify the potential mineral deposits. The project area covers an aerial extent of 3 215.39 hectares and extends over 31 farm portions. It is situated in the Magisterial District of Klerksdorp, approximately 19 kilometres (km) north east of Klerksdorp town in the North West Province of South Africa.
