Leo Solar Power Plant (RF) (Pty) Ltd

Leo Solar Power Plant (RF) (Pty) Ltd is applying for environmental authorisation (EA) for the construction and operation of a Solar Photovoltaic (PV) facility and associated infrastructure, near Kroonstad, Free State Province. The project entails the development of the Leo Solar Power Plant proposed, within a 2943 ha assessment area, which will generate up to 275MW of electrical power through photovoltaic (PV) panels. The PV facility and grid connection corridor will be located on the Remaining Extent of the farm Winningdale No. 200, situated within the Moqhaka Local Municipality area of jurisdiction. The town of Kroonstad is located ~12 km west of the proposed development.
