Centaurus Energy Facility (RF) (Pty) Ltd is applying for environmental authorisation (EA) for the construction and operation of a Solar Photovoltaic (PV) facility and associated infrastructure, near Kroonstad, Free State Province. The project entails the development of the Centaurus Energy Facility proposed, within a 2943 ha assessment area, which will generate up to 330MW of electrical power through photovoltaic (PV) panels. The PV facility and grid connection corridor will be located on Potion 4 (Soetvlei) of the Farm Theron No.875 and Portion 1 (Yvonne) of the farm Farm Theron No. 875, Remaining Extent of farm Winningdale No. 200 and Remaining Extent of farm Blanquilla No. 280, situated within the Moqhaka Local Municipality area of jurisdiction.
