The proposed upgrade of Kruis Road, between Bottelary Road and Ronelle Road within Brackenfell South, within the municipal boundaries of the City of Cape Town

The applicant namely the City of Cape Town (hereinafter CoCT) proposes to upgrade the roadway between Bottelary Road and Ronelle Street within Brackenfell South (33° 53'55.37"S; 18°42'46.85"E), which falls within the municipal boundaries of the CoCT.
The proposed project would entail the following activities:
• The construction of approximately 600m of Class 2 arterial roadway between Bottelary Road and Ronelle Street, Brackenfell South.
• The proposed roadway will have a cross section of 27m including sidewalks and will fall within a 32m road reserve;
• The construction of the Kruis-Botelary intersection will include a taper back of ± 200m to Bottelary Road’s existing cross section both east and west of the intersection;
• The construction of a roundabout intersection at Ronelle Street with a taper back of ± 200m (east and west direction) to Kruis Road cross-section to the north.
