    Malapa Hominin 1 (MH1) is a juvenile individual represented by a partial cranium, fragmented mandible, and partial postcranial skeleton designated as
    the species holotype. The first hominin specimen recovered from Malapa was the right clavicle of MH1 (UW88-1), discovered by Matthew Berger on 15 August 2008.
