Description
The purpose of this Memorial is to re-enact the Great Trek .Ox wagons were built to re-enact the Great Trek. These wagons passed through towns, they were pulled across a wet cement slab to preserve the tracks. This slab is one of these, but with one difference: some of the women who survived the Irene Concentration Camp insisted on pulling the wagon across the cement slab rather than letting the oxen do so. The women's footprints are clearly visible on the slab.
