Hierdie plaat is in dankbare nagedagtenis opgerig deur die voortrekkers op 4 September 1954 ter ere aan die groot boerie verkenner Daniel Johannes Stephanus Theron (Kapt.Daniel Theron-"Keppie")9MEI 1872-5 September 1900 Onder hierdie boom langs hierdie rots,Het kapt.Theron op 5 September 1900 gesterf terwyl hy alleen 'n aanrukkende vyandelike kolonie aangedurf het.Hy het hier alleen geveg en die heldedood gesterf vir sy dierbare volk en vaderland 'n groot held het geval.
