    Proposal Description
    The Applicant, Mpower (Pty) Ltd proposes the development of a dangerous goods storage and formulation facility on Erf 622, N4 Gateway Industrial Park. The warehouse will be utilised for the storage of goods classified as dangerous (total capacity of 1000 m3) and unclassified goods (total storage unknown) in newly designed warehouse. The construction will included the building of a warehouse facility which includes:
     Admin offices
     Ablution facilities
     Washroom facilities for staff
     Storm water junction box and other stormwater related infrastructure.
     Existing access road from the Amatole Road
     Existing municipal connections to electricity, sewage and water services.
    The applicant, Mpower (Pty) Ltd specialises in the supply of agricultural crop protection chemicals such as herbicides, insecticides and pesticides and goods are currently formulated and packaged at an external supplier’s site.
    The Willow Park Manor was proclaimed in the Provincial Gazette Extraordinary nr 199 issued on 28 August 2009. Furthermore the N4 Gateway Park has Conditions Of Establishment (Conditions Which Will Be Applicable To The Approved Township In Terms Of Section 103 Of Ordinance 15 Of 1986) and Erf 622 is zoned as XIV: SPECIAL. The erven may be used for industrial, commercial, supportive or similar purposes.
    Furthermore an Environmental Authorisation was issued for the establishment of the Light Industrial Township On The Remaining Extent Of Portion 4 Of The Farm The Willows 340 JR. to Uniqon Woning, (Pty) Ltd on 13 February 2008 with reference number 002/06-07/N0130. Refer to Appendix G4 for a copy of the EA.
