Naude's nek is the highest mountain pass in the country and possibly the continet, that is negotiable by ordinay vehicles. Sani pass, whose highest point is in Lesotho, is negotiable only by specialise off road vehicles. Naude's nek is a testimonial to the pioneering who, refusing to be intimidated by adverse terrain and other adversities developed and opened up the country.
