Statement of Significance
The older church, which dates from 1828, was erected in the simple vernacular style. It is T-shaped and, together with the other neighbouring church, which was erected in 1874 in the neo-Gothic style, it forms an important architectural group.

The two historic Dutch Reformed Churches, built in 1828 and 1874 respectively, situate at Glen Lynden, Bedford, with three metres of land around each building, situate on certain piece of abolished quitrent land in the Division of Bedford, being Portion 1 of the farm Lynx Drift 54 and measuring sixty-one thousand one hundred and seventy-two (61 172) square feet.
