      Statement of Significance

      In this house the well-known authoress Olive Schreiner (1855-1920) and her husband S C Cronwright-Schreiner, lived from 1908 to 1913. Here she completed her book "Woman and Labour" and wrote two articles for special occasions entitled "Thoughts About Women" and "Closer Union".
