Statement of Significance

These buildings, with their Georgian Karoo style and Victorian features, which date mainly from the nineteenth century, form an integral part of the historical and architectural core of Graaff-Reinet, which was founded in 1785.

The facade of the Georgian dwelling-house with is Victorian elements, situated on certain piece of land in the Municipality and Division of Graaff-Reinet, being Erf 188, Graaff-Reinet, in extent 495 (four hundred and ninety-five) square metres.
