      Statement of Significance

      This imposing double storeyed building, erected 1907, was designed by the architect Carstairs Rogers on the instruction of Mrs Margaret McGregor as a memorial to her husband Alexander McGregor, a diamond pioneer who was the Mayor of Kimberley in 1886. The building was presented in trust to the City of Kimberley in September 1907.
