Statement of Significance
Intrinsic architectural and cultural significance. Nazareth House is the oldest carity and work in Kimberley. Founded by the Sisters of nazareth in 1888, the complex has played a historic role in tending the infirm and needy in Kimberley particularly during the Anglo-Boer War of 1899-1902, and the Spanish Flu epidemic of 1916.
