Statement of Significance
This house, formerly known as the Government Garden House and later as the Commandant's House, probably dates from the end of the eighteenth century._x000D_
Its inhabitants included Colonel John Graham and Captain (later Colonel) Henry Somerset. The name "Oatlands" was given to the property by Somerset.
