Statement of Significance
Victoria West is one of the few Karoo towns whose architectural integrity has not been excessively affected by insensitive development. The areas identified are the most fully preserved areas of the town, each with pivotal buildings and groups of proposed registered properties and other properties of sensitive scale and architectural character. Victoria West presents a unique opportunity to conserve a Karoo townscape.
