Statement of Significance
This prefabricated verandaed cottage dating from 1907 is an unuswal example of a wood-and iron Transvaal farmhouse. The speed with which it could be unpacked and erected made it an ideal means of accommodating the owner in a short space of time. The minor additions to the farmhouse provide a useful historical record of its development over time.
