Statement of Significance
This impressive sandstone church with its Byzantine and neoclassical elements was designed by the well-known architect Gerhard Moerdyk and erected by the builder F. Barker. This church, which is one of the largest stone churches in South Africa, was officially inaugurated on 31 March 1928.
