SCIENTIFIC INTEREST. _x000D_
These stone huts are of archaelogical interest and occur only in a restricted area of the north-eastern Free State, and the southern Transvaal. Although the huts are attributed to the Leghoya, there is still some doubt among scientists as to their true origin. These stone huts were selected after careful investigation by experts as they are representative of the particular features of this- prehistoric architecture. Several of these huts are still in a good state of repair and others will be restored by scientific experts.
