    The entrace of the Talana house displays the history of the San Bushman,the is a layout section where they show us how the San Bushman use to live with a board discribing the type of tools archeologist use to use and the Rock art that was painted by the San Bushman. As you move on farther down the next section it consist of a lay out of Zulu homes and how a traditional zulu hut looked like in the olden days.The is also information about Ixhiba(kitchen),Clay pots,Grass woven items,Zulu head rest as well as Traditional beliefs that explain what is a Sangoma and information telling about The Zulu Kings.     Built by Peter's son, Thomas Patterson Smith, in 1894. This building houses displays on the history of the Zulu's ,the Voortrekker movement inti our area, the Anglo-Zuly war of 1879 and the Anglo Boer War 1899-1902. The original Bushman painting on the rock at thr entrace came from a frieze at Tayside in 1947. The verandah is this house was used as a British dressing statiim during thr Battle of Talana
