      The old Hostel building of the Cedara Agricultural College, situate on a portion of Subdivision A of of Drie Fonteinen 952, in the City of Pietermaritzburg, County of Pietermaritzburg, Province of Natal.
      Believed to be the oldest agricultural college in South Africa: the foundation stone of the original building was laid by Sir Henry McCallum, Governer of Natal on 28th April 1905, and the construction was completed a year later. The building is now used as a hostel and includes a lecture room (1976)
      This building housed the first Natal Govt Agricultural College and Experimental Station and served as the focus of agricultural training and experiment in Natal: a typical Natal Colonial building with imposing apperance; historical importance to farming.
